Erik the Flutemaker made only one tin whistle out of bamboo, and it turned out to be a wonderful one in the key of A. It is a real collector's item, but also a beautiful instrument. The body is made of bamboo, and the mouthpiece is the popular Susato ABS fipple. When blowing this whistle it requires you to use more air. The tone is much fuller and organic than a regular tin whistle. It is also louder, so it's great when you want to be heard when playing with other musicians.
